I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to create a series of portraits featuring the Dusun Tindal, Dusun Kimarang, and Rungus tribes. These portraits were taken during a traditional ritual that precedes the Harvest festival. It was a special and rare occasion for me as I managed to gather everyone and capture their remarkable presence in their full traditional costume. At the time, this might not seem extraordinary, but looking ahead 20-40 years, with the pervasive influence of social media driving cultural homogenization, there is a strong likelihood that these rich traditions and captivating images will fade into obscurity.
