By Flanegan

I got this from a Facebook page. It’s worth to share in my blog. Since I, myself is a Photographer too.

1) They work well in the dark
(Darkroom, it tooks time for us to train how to take of the film from the canister then cut it. And then, move roll it to tank developer than close it properly before switch on the light. And also, developing photos print in Dark area. So if you need help from us, We can help you anytime!)

2) They’re used to funny smells
(The smells of Chemicals especially Stop bath and Fixer in Darkroom. Trust me, any ex-University student who used to study art design before 2005 they’ll complain about the how awful is darkroom smells. Don’t worry about your smell, we ain’t complaint and we get used to it.)

3) They make things develop
(from planning, to pre-production to Post Production. Photographer are the one who develop all this idea. Who develop the film or Digital Negative too? Photographer lar bah! If you don’t know how to start something, We will develop it for you instantly!)

4) They work well on many settings
(nuff said)

5) They know how to focus
(nuff said` If you’re blur kind of type. Don’t worry we can help you to focus it.)

6) They can make big things look small and small things look big
(nuff said’)

7) They work well from many different angles
(no matter how bad you look in different angles, or trying sumthing adventurous with odd angle. We don’t mind~~ Too easy!)

8) They zoom in and out. And in and out and in and out and in and out…
(nuff said’)

9) They shoot in many different locations
(You are lucky because we photographer go travel everywhere.)

10) They can find the beauty in anything
(nuff said’)

Bah!
If that’s what you’re looking for.

Research the Local back in the days.

By Flanegan

Before I want to talk about the real thing.. Lemme share you something funny for me. (for me lar)

LOL
Connex is Melbourne’s Public Transport Train. Same level as KTM to be honest.

Don’t you love when you found some of the Local Gallery and mir’s website update. I always told my friend here in Melbourne in Malaysia.. I believe that We have our own Photographer back in the days documented the life of people and places no matter in Malaya or Borneo.

Guess what I found?

Yes, we do have.. (maybe Im outdated, but thanks to me. I research myself and I found 1 instantly.. There’s no place as Mir)

sultanismail
Sultan of Terengganu 1945-1979. Sultan Ismail is a Photographer itself.

Anyway that’s his darkroom. picture taken from mir’s website.

Basically, he do everything by himself. I can call him a truly of Masters Photographer. I can’t wait to go back to Malaysia and visit his work at eqFineArt Gallery in KL.

Y’all can check out the late Sultan Ismail’s Priceless Legacy at http://www.mir.com.my/rb/photography/portfolio/sultan/seaside.htm and also here http://www.artmajeur.com/?go=artworks/display_mini_gallery&login=arttransact&mini_gallery_id=1253164&artist_id=0.

Ok.. Enough about him.

I’m trying to find who’s the first local Photographer in Sabah or Sarawak. I can’t find any particular one but so far KF Wong is the only Photographer I can find he documented the life and places of Borneo in the 1940′s and 1950′s. How I wish I was born in those days.. haishhhhh~~~~

I only manage to find that kind of image on the net. Don’t worry there’s more picture you can view at eqFineart web gallery by clicking this link http://www.artmajeur.com/?go=artworks/display_mini_gallery&login=arttransact&mini_gallery_id=1005966&artist_id=19968ℑ_id=161458&disp_m=normal&serie=1.

Now I know what gallery I can visit already in KL.

Can’t wait to start my Land Below the Wind project….

Did you learn something new today?
