あなたの夢は何に?
By Flanegan
My Dream is about to start.
Everytime I watch Japanese drama. No matter what kind of script or storyline~
This phrase will be in any script.
When somebody give up with life.. Depressed, Commit Suicide, Being Pulling away from Social and other stuff that makes them forget what’s the meaning of True Living in this modern world.
The Main actor will use this phrase as the final weapon at the end of the climax in most any drama.
“あなたの夢は何に?” = Anata no Yume wa Nani? Or in English/Malay “What is your Dream” / “Apa Impian Kamu?”
At the moment, the person who give up with life started to become stiff. Started to think what is their dream or used to be their dream~~
To be honest, It’s cliché but I like that kind of scene. People tend to unrealizes about their self made dream before they started to get serious with life to make things happen.
Hey~~ Don’t say you’re too old to think about it already~~ I know someone’s dad suddenly took a night study class just to achieve their own dream to become one of them no matter how long does it take. As long you’re still alive and can move freely, I believe everyone can do it!
You’ll never succeed in whatever you do for the first time. It’s rare to succeed! Don’t believe those marketing promotion scheme you saw on the newspaper, e-mails or in any kind of media type lah!! Most of them are fake bah that~~ They just want fast money from y’all.
I believe it’s all about how you familiar yourself.
2, 3, 4… Maybe not working but you see the result is coming~~ But people tend to stop there?
Have you ever give 5th time a chance? Don’t spoil your dream…
People who living in this century tend to give up easily. Bidak oh~~
Haishh~~ ばかやろ!このやろ!
So.. “あなたの夢は何に?”

The Day I was conferred to Bachelor of Art (Photography)
By Flanegan
After I completed my Diploma (Graphic Design) at Sabah Institute of Art in 2006. I realize become a Graphic Designer is not my forte. I took up Graphic Design because I saw Photography I & II in their Electives Course.
A few weeks after I obtained my Diploma at the end of 2006. I decide to pursue something I never think about. It’s only a hobby and also passion. I wanted to learn more about Photography.
I decide to do some research which is the best Photography Course. My first Choice is Academy of Art or San Francisco of Art Institute, but the Visa is a huge problem for me. They say it took a while to approve…. =_=
Few days later, no stories or update from them. I decide to scrap the offer letters from them and apply at RMIT University because they ‘used’ to be one of the Top Photography School, and still a top photography school in Southern Hemisphere.
I got my offer letter a week later and my Student Visa approved in less than 3 days. Of course I sense something wrong with it. Ini mesti mau duit saja! But heck~~ I found a few ‘graduates’ photographer website who used to study at RMIT. For the first time, I saw something different. I mean different photograph, different vision from their folio.
That’s what I want to learn!
Not only take photograph with cameras. But explore it!

Murut Tribe Costume with Pink Graduation Gown.
I thought what I’ve learnt from Photography Forum and Magazine is enough for me to be very knowledgeable in my First Year. But I’m wrong!! I suddenly become so noobs because the way RMIT taught me is not about the camera. Is about how we visualize a scene turning into a interesting 2D Photo.
No Matter how good is your technical.. But crappy composition and too normal. My lecturer will say ‘No’ all the time until you got the right photo. Beside just taking picture, we have to do research too.. History of Photography and History of an image itself from Documentary, War Photography to Commercial. With that Visual Research + Your Lecturer’s help.. It helps me to develop my own style.
It took at least 2 years to develop my own style.. I still remember in my 2nd year, I stressed allot because I cannot find the style that can represents me. I kept on changing until I have Elective Class with Alex Syndikas and John Child.
They helped me allot..

Commencement Ceremony
And Also in year 2008 or in my 2nd year, Digital Photography or DSLR is rising up. Everyone who purchased a DSLR suddenly proclaimed themselves as Photographer. Even the person they use to experiment in taking picture suddenly proclaimed as a Model too… It’s a hot topic for most of the students and lecturers. Even some of them debate nonstop about it.
I have no comment on that.
“It doesn’t mean you’ll be an Instant Photographer if you owned a DSLR, You are just the Camera Owner.”
After I found my style, during my summer break back in KK. I straight away starts my Final Year Project called “Anima“.
In my final year of study 3rd Year. Beside focusing on my Final Year Folio, I did Darkroom and Alternative Process.
Pinhole is very interesting. I like it so much! I remember I spent at least average 20+ hours in a week just take picture in Pinhole then process it in darkroom. I feels like I’m doing the real thing..
Panjang cerita… pfft
3 years later, mid December 2009. I finish my life as Photography Student.
Feeling proud for the first time as kampung boy with Murut Tribe Costume.
Bersalam with the professor on stage and receive my most expensive certificate I ever ask my parents to invest.

Bidak ohh Pigang bunga
I’m now.. Officially conffered to Bachelor of Art (Photography).
oh yes Bebeh!!

No Peace Sign, No Fun..
I know its hard for a few people to live on after spent so much time together for 3 years as coursemate. Ada yang Emo brabis lagi, ada yang tiba2 confess (BIDAK), ada yang tiba-tiba rapat (ini lar WTF).
For me, whatever lah… Life goes on… When I was 12 years old.. My parents says friends come and go. Buat apa mau stick sama satu orang.. Betul also bah kan!
Thanks to the current technology. Everyone can keep contact each other via the ‘Internet’. Except for those who Jual Mahal.

This picture tells “I love my cert more than everyone.” haha ok joking bah kamurang ni
Bah.. I guess that’s all lar. I will write another post about my plan and future of my upcoming ‘work life’.
Continue my packing.
