I’m back from Blogging World.
After 3 and half years stop bowling because of too busy with my college life back in Sabah and also my coach move to the peninsular.
I decide to join RMIT Tenpin Bowling Team & I never expect that i will be in the team list for Australian University Games.
For the first time, RMIT form a Tenpin Bowling Team just for this special events.
After 3 months of practice together at AMF Northcote, Greensborough Lanes and also AMF Keon Park Bowling Centre.
We’re ready to fight for gold medal. It’s RMIT’s first Tenpin Bowling Team to participate one of the most recognize Australian Sports Events for Universities around Australia.

RMIT Tenpin Bowling 2008
Every 2 weeks, we will meet and practice together in the bowling alley. Discuss what is our weakness and how should we improve it.

Before the competition, Practice at AMF Northcote Bowling Center.
What i like about RMIT Bowling Team is everyone have their own special character. I’m the obviously the quiet one, Brian the friendly American guy. Carlin the Talkative Singapore guy(i tell you he can talk nonstop!! Kalah phua chu kang). Umesh the Funny Indian Guy. Melissa the extravert Hong Kong Girl & Ryan the Australian Indian Guy who basically see something weird stuff and he’ll get excited. HAHA
Lots of universities from West Australia, Queensland and New South Wales represents, i think only 4 universities represents Victoria state. RMIT, Melbourne Uni, Monash Uni and Latrobe Uni.
Macam biasa, I didn’t talk much and make new friends, only a few. Just smile at them and i`ll go far2 away and look at them playing bowling from the meeting room.

Wah!! Since when i lift my ball that high?
There’s a team from one of the Sydney side on 2nd day are really pain in the arse. Like they never seen an Asian Guy before in their life. That was my lowest game in the competition but i manage to beat that guy to get full point for RMIT University.
3rd Day RMIT University won 5-0, 5-0 and 5-0 against Uni from Western Australia and Queensland. Same as 4th day but this time is 4-1, 3-2 (tough match against UNSW) and 5-0 uni from one of New South Wales side.

The Medal after the finals.
The last day of the tournament is the final. We’re in the 1st position against the 2nd position for the Gold Medal.
First 5 frame, we thought that we’re gonna lose by 2-3 against the UNSW but at the last frame. Me and Melissa manage to win by 2 points and 1 points. That makes 4-1.. Really tight match.
For the first time in RMIT University Tenpin Bowling. We won the Gold Medal in the last 2 frame.
Even Carlin the captain shout happily after Melissa won by 1 point and I get a clean strike at last 2 frame, manage to catch up last-last minute and won by 2 point. Both of us is like the decider to get the gold medal.

RMIT University Tenpin Bowling Team. 2008 Gold Medalists.
At least ada nama saya jugalah on the RMIT Sports and Union list. Beside the gold Medal, Brian the friendly american guy and Carlin the talkative singaporean guy won green-gold medal (one of the most prestigious medal for Australian University Games) Brian and Carlin are the Top 2 average bowler in the tournament. Brian got 213 average and Carlin got 198 average for 9 games. While me I got 165 average and for the first time out of 100 player i got top 10 in the list.

Australian University Sport, too obvious that the Kangaroo is the mascot.
It’s my first taste of Gold Medal. Although its not a pure-gold but i’m gonna precious it like a real olympic gold medal.
I think this is the first and last RMIT Tenpin Bowling Team because Carlin & Umesh will graduate this year, Brian finish his exchange student programme and going back to California, Melissa will be busy with her final 4th year and Me will be in my final year struggling to complete my final year folio.

I hope there’s a team better that us if they really want to represent RMIT Tenpin Bowling team for next year Australian University Games at Gold Coast.
Should I join or should not? hahaha
-peace bebeh and one love-
