Treasure It.
By Flanegan
After watching 1 litre of Tears or (Ichi Ritoru no Namida) Japanese Drama Series, Well it’s an old drama. Not that old, 2005 Japanese Drama based on True Story about a girl (act by Sawajiri Erika) who was diagnosed with an incureable spinocebellar degenerative desease.

The Ikeuchi Family
Too bad I didnt cry much because i focus too much on the cinematography. Lighting, composition and the angle from Episode 1 until 11 and 2 Hours Special Episode. But the last 4 episode, terms on lighting and angle really give me the impact.
The Impact that make me wanna treasure, Treasure someone you really think is precious (beside yourself) and also the word “Fate” that i rarely use.
So ladies and gentleman, y’all should be grateful that you are still alive and able to move freely. Live on!
Live life too the max.
It seems they use lots of Blue, Yellow and Green as their main color. Beside the color, The lighting for every episode is so superb. I like how the DOP and Lighting Director use the rim light and also angle so that the flow of emotion can affect the audience.
It is so important to plan what kind of angle, lighting and composition before you start making a movie. Usually it took 1 month to write a script, 11 months to plan all the stuff before start the production. After the production. You need to pre-production your movie in terms of colors, sounds and also soundtrack.
Movie Making is almost the same as Photography. For photography you only shoot a still image. You capture the moment in 1 frame (well, since it’s digital era and people are so greedy with FPS sequence i press shutter can capture up till 4-5 frame now GOSH!!). For Video it’s all about movement. If you have nice storyline but very bad cinematography.
After watching all kind of movies (Japanese, Hong Kong, Taiwanese, Korean & European Movies). I realize why Malaysian Movie is not that demand. It seems that the Malaysian hates their own identity and their culture it-terms of popular culture. Yes! I guess The Malaysian Movie industry have to find a way how to bring back the Identity of Malaysian Movie back. Lots of Malaysian movie goers prefer watching Hollywood-Stereotype movie because of English language (because more malaysian prefer speak english, include the malay and chinese, for the native itu memang teda harapan want to ajar them their mother tongue language because got brainwash by the media). Why some of Asian Country such as Japan, Indonesia, Korea and Hong Kong. These country i mention they still speak their own language, they still believe their own culture and also they want to keep their identity. So Malaysians, Don’t blame the government or politics for god sake. There’s no related at all..
Well, I still watch Malaysian Movie. Every end of the year i’ll watch as many latest malaysian movie as i can. But what i’m sick and tired about malaysian movie is their comedy joke is kinda expire to me. It’s irritate me all the time. I cannot blame on low budget (estimate rm500k – rm1.5million) because they don’t want to lose profit. They know they will lose lots of money when it comes to tayang panggung. But because of passion, It doesn’t stop them to keep on making new movie. I still remember back in the days Sembilu was a Hit because everyone Malaysia’s Popular Culture was highly appreciate by the Young Malaysian (including those music artist such as 4u2c, Nico, Feminine, Res2, Elite & KRU). Not like the new generation… Their brain got colonize by the western and east asian media too much, trip mo jadi diorang. It’s ok to learn their culture but mau jadi diorang that’s over the limit unless you wants the world become 1 country.

Evening Inspiration.
Can you see how big is the impact after i watch this Drama?
So guys beside human being.
Please treasure something that important. Your identity, Your Culture, Your place and lastly don’t believe and influence by the media too much.
*gila ehh. Why suddenly i can think all this kind of stuff?*
