Exhibition, Sundatang give me bitin-ness.
By Flanegan
Ari Khamis… Like usual, teda kerja… Still waiting for respond.. Lambat betul this company~ Sengsara betul!
Woke up around 3pm.. Shower and watch tv for a while then head to Sabah Museum because ada Photographic Exhibition from 2nd until the 27th February.
North Borneo Legacy Photographic Exhibition.
George C. Wooley donate all his diary and film sheets to Museum Sabah. I’m so envy of him and I wish Back to the future’s do exist so that I can document an unknown life and land back in those days.
Even Henri Cartier Bresson don’t have the priviledge to document this kind of opportunity.
Like usual, you have to pay RM2 (jgn lar kamurang temahak! masuk CPS or warisan sanggup bayar rm2.50) for Museum Entrance. The exhibition is locate on the right side inside Museum Sabah building.
Opening hours is 10am until 5pm. Counter & door close at 4.45pm.

Free Gift (Print) and Sabah Museum Ticket.
After the exhibition… I always wandering around the Music Instrument, Bamboo and Household Area If I were there… I’m dying to own a Sundatang.
Sundatang is like a Guitar Instrument, I believe the Kadazan, Dusun and Murut have one of those back in those days.
I wish I still can find this piece of instrument since it’s hard or RARE to find this kind of our traditional instrument already.
Beside Sundatang, Biola Dusun (Dusun’s Violin) is damn interesting too!! So I tried to search it on youtube and guess what!
I found someone upload the Sundatang and Biola Dusun on youtube. The Power of Youtube!
Video Below :
Sundatang
Biola Dusun
Cool rite?
Im thinking of having a small exhibition for myself. But got 1 problem jak~~ I wonder where I can get financial support and also gallery space for rent. hmmm~~
Impossible lar.. Maybe I shall just keep on dreaming about it.
Next Sunday is CNY already…. Time pass so fast after graduation.. While in day the clock moving very very very slow.
Have you ever thought of Conspiracy?
You are so worthy but everyone team up each other to destroy your path because they envy you?
I honestly~~ got that kind of feeling eventually.
Dang~~ It’s Malaysia after all..

Re-adapt..
By Flanegan
Warning :
This post contains rants. Don’t take it seriously if this really hit you. Once you got “Hot Sensation” please read another post or press ctrl+w to exit. Thank you for your cooperation.

Good Morning and have a great weekdays.
I have to admit that I’m in the process of re-adapting my life back in KK after 3 years living in Melbourne. Why?
Because in Melbourne, I live in the middle of the City and transportation-wise, I can hope into trams or train to somewhere or just walking distance to any shop that I wanted to go without thinking “Malas mo injak minyak kereta & cari parking”.
Now I have to agree my friend. He told me When He further his study overseas he have to adapt to a new environment. After 5 years of study. He went back to his hometown… He have to re-adapt back his very own environment’s hometown. That’s how I feel now.
Straight to the point.. The feeling is different lar. Weird and Suffering at the same time.
Why Suffering? Because I can’t go anywhere.. I always cancel all my plan because I don’t have enough cash with me. In Melbourne different stories, Parents worrying about you and for sure they’ll give enough cash for you to survive, I also get extra cash from doing small works like freelance & selling prints. In KK pula, Since I’m back home.. Inda kena kasi peduli suda.. HAHAHA, Want to do personal project pun susah~~ *notty me*
Art and Photography sources in KK is also limited. >_<
There’s no one I can get what’s the latest photobook release or latest photographer’s exhibition or photography talk I can attend in KK. Even can’t meet someone talk about general photography. Supply pun teda~~ Camera freak banyak, but im not a camera freak person. Suddenly I felt so left out from something that I have passion. T_T
It’s great to be home~ The feeling of Joy Sensation is still in me. Cakap Bahasa Sabah (bos, kasi dua roti canai sama kola), Speak Sabahan English.. (Why this? bida oh like that.. You this! dun bah!! lol) and watch astro and also downloading lots of Japanese TV Shows and Drama on the net cos it’s freakin unlimited. Peduli lar slow orang bilang. I can download finish 2gb in less than 5 hours~~
. No im not using P1, Im using Streamyx.
Once my 1 year contract finish with the company that I will work starting this mid-feb or early march. That will be around Feb or March 2011, and that time I’m still 24+ years old. I’ll be travelling to East Asia and also Europe and maybe New York? with my portfolio. Visiting Photography Galleries, Photography Magazine, Photography Agency. Hoping to get jobs as Assistant Photographer or work as intern in the Gallery learning from the Curator. I love shooting people, I wish to become Celebrities or Idol photographer in Japan. Building more portrait portfolio like Hidekazu Maiyama. Or become War Photographer got send to any country that currently in War like Reinhard Krause or James Nacthwey..

That’s what I want to do!!!!
What does KK have? Even if KK have, the company will always stick with its 1 photographer forever. Not like those countries I want to visit, they want something fresh and new for their concept. They dare to hire different photographer with their own vision and perspective.
That how you gonna say “Don’t underestimate Sabahans?” If the mentality is still radical, persist, refuse and decline?
or you mean “Never underestimate Sabahan because conceited?
BIDAK!!
Chase your dream, grab the sky.. Never give up. No matter how old are you. – from a 24years old self me.
I guess that’s all. I hate this feeling. I hate telling how I feel sometimes~~

Alex at Raja Lawak Season 4.
By Flanegan
For Those who are not in Malaysia. Raja Lawak means King of Comedy in English. This time we have Sabahans who got into Top 12.
They are Alex, very funny big guy from Papar and a group called “Kecik” who are based in Beaufort and Tuaran.
It really open the whole Malaysia’s mind I guess because you know…
We Sabahan, our Malay Language are ‘thicker’ and ‘faster’ than the Standard Malay speaking Language in Peninsular Malaysia.
Like how you can guess which American from California or New York or in Japan… Japanese Standard Kanto slang (Tokyo) and Kansai slang. (Osaka)
In Malaysian Language, You can spot the differences between the West and East M’sia Slang (Mostly Sabahan). Peninsular (the west) Slang is like the standard slang for most media TV in Malaysia while Sabahan Slang just started to spread around mainstream media a decade ago.
I never watch Raja Lawak before… 2 years ago I give it a try but most of the ‘pelawak’ or comedian didn’t really hit me. Didn’t laugh at all~~ Don’t know why? Why ah?
I got this video via Youtube where Alex tell a joke about Tabiat Rakyat (Malaysian’s Habit).
Sakit Tangan ohh~~
What do you think? I never laugh non-stop for the first time when it comes “Joke in Bahasa Malaysia” until Alex tells his Joke about Malaysian’s Habit.
So.. Kepada smua yg baca my blog. If you’re in Malaysia.. Don’t ‘tamahak’ to spend 50cent on your mobile phone vote for him via SMS so that he can stay in Raja Lawak until the Grand Finale.
Manatau dia menang.. Ada juga Abu Bakar Ella punya best friend.. haha
Bah! Itu saja from me..
